Dreamcast Heading Back

SEGA’s Dreamcast had plenty of classic games during it’s lifespan. Titles which included Skies OF Arcadia, Shenmue and Phantasy Star Online, since the introduction of XBLA and PSN devoted fans have been crying out for some of these titles. Now SEGA have listened – Dreamcast games are on their way…

Two titles have been announced for release so far, Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure will be hitting PSN & XBLA later this Autumn.

“The Dreamcast is fondly remembered by a large community of dedicated fans as a console that was ahead of its time in terms of graphics, quality and online gaming” commented Sega West VP of digital business Haruki Satomi.

“There are few things that are more requested from us than making Dreamcast classics available for download in today’s digital market place. We’re very excited to begin offering gamers our beloved Dreamcast titles again on the current console systems.”

This is great news and I for one can’t wait to start tearing up the highway once again in my yellow cab, in HD. Next perhaps we can have Phantasy Star Online, pretty please.
