In the Japanese magazine, Weekly Shonen Jump, Square Enix very recently announced their follow-up to Dissidia: Final Fantasy, the popular fighting game on the PSP.
Those of you who enjoy a touch of alliteration in your titles will be pleased to get your hands on Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy, which is planned to be released sometime in 2011. Those of you who tend to stumble over these kinds of words… we’re sorry for your loss. In any case, this late release probably well squashes any rumors of a PSP 2 releasing anytime next year.
Additions to the sequel’s roster include the seemingly distant Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII in addition to Kain from Final Fantasy IV. We may see more about this game next week at the Tokyo Game Show. If so, we’ll let you know how it fares compared to the original 2008 release.
