Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon Hitting DS This October

Rising Star Games have today revealed that Rune Factory 2 will finally be hitting European shores on 8 October. Taking all of the best selling elements of the Harvest Moon series, Rune Factory 2 mixes in a wealth of RPG elements, making for a rather exciting combination for fans of both.

With families to be grown as well as dungeons to explore, the game allows you to play through two generations. Starting off as the father, you can then continue your story as either daughter or son. Fighting skills will need to be honed along with crops to cultivate. Monsters can also be tamed and used to help work on your farm. With plenty of depth and options to mess with, this game look set be one that will offer hours of gameplay.

“Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon picks up where the last game finished,” says Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. “It’s full of farming, fighting and families – the winning Rune Factory combination that will have fans clamouring to get their hands on this.”

Rune Factory 2 has already been released with great success in both the USA and Japan; once it finally reaches our shores, it looks like another fine title to be added to the already impressive lineup on the DS.
